About Us

Boulding Belugas Swim School is a family owned and operated business registered with the RM of Springfield. Summer swim lessons are taught at our home pool at 70099 Willowdale Rd., 2 miles east of Hwy 206, 1 mile west of Hwy 212 and 2 miles south of Hwy 44. Our pool is “L” shaped, 40 feet long on one length and 30 feet long on the other side of the “L”. We have a 6 foot depth on the long length and 3 foot depth across the short length with steps for entry. Our pool has a fun 360o curly slide but we do not dive as we do not have the depth for diving boards. Please see the map for directions.

Sally Boulding (Beluga Mom)
Sally began her swimming as a child in California with summer swim lessons and has very fond memories of the swimming teachers and lifeguards at the pool! She competed in age group swimming until age 17 then found herself back in swimming in the Masters again 10 years later! She has been swimming ever since! Sally was a swim instructor and lifeguard in her school and university years and sometimes helps with the coaching of the Masters. She found that as a swimmer it is not always important to be the fastest one in the pool, but if you keep going long enough you can go a long distance! Sally has held the Masters Swimming Manitoba Provincial Record for the 800m and 1500m freestyle in several age groups. Sally is the proud mom of Josh, Kaitlyn, Jordan and Seth and enjoys volunteering for their activities including the board of the Selkirk Dolphins Swim Club and Neptunes Water Polo. She was honoured to be the recipient of the “Bob Hamerton Achievement Award” in 2008. Sally also likes yoga, music and crafts like knitting and quilting.

Joshua Boulding (the first Beluga)
Josh began his swim career early, as a “mascot” on deck watching his parents swim. Josh learned to swim as a youngster and swam competitively with the Selkirk Dolphins from age 11 – 17. He previously worked as a lifeguard and swim instructor at the Selkirk Outdoor Pool and as the first instructor with our swim school. Josh is currently working toward completing an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in physics at the University of Winnipeg. He coaches the morning adult fitness program at Concordia Pool and likes challenging his swimmers! Josh has earned a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, likes cycling, camping and plays the bassoon.

Kaitlyn Boulding (Beluga Daughter)
